* Here's our feeling on the bios. We prefer them to be entertaining, but above all they should be useful. Hence we include email addresses and website where you can find the writers, if the writers agree to this. We don't like to list awards or graduate degrees unless they are useful for readers. (I suspect these are not useful for readers.) However, we are happy to list other places you might find these writers' work, and where they teach or work, if you want to find them and send them cash or love or creepy photos.

Lucy Anderton lives in a 500 year old brothel in the south of France. She feels as if she is beginning to lose her English. She works as a translator. Her poetry has appeared in Barrow Street; AGNI Online; American Letters & Commentary; The Iowa Review; Forklift, Ohio; and is forthcoming in Barrelhouse Magazine.

Steve Barbaro lives in Virginia and Illinois. He is currently working on his first book-length manuscript, Abyss/Edifice. He is also currently obsessed with the film 3 Women. [email]

Douglas Basford grew up in Oak Ridge, TN, and now lives defiantly carless in Buffalo, where he teaches and manages persons with person numbers at SUNY-Buffalo. Other work appears in Poetry, Subtropics, Smartish Pace, 32 Poems, and The National Poetry Review. He co-edits the online poetry journal Unsplendid. [email]

Simeon Berry lives in Boston, where he is a poetry and fiction reader for Ploughshares.  He has won a Career Chapter Award from the National Society of Arts and Letters, the Dana Award for Poetry, and a Massachusetts Cultural Council Individual Artist Grant. Recent work appears in Hotel Amerika, Green Mountains Review, and Colorado Review, and is forthcoming in Another Chicago Magazine and Crazyhorse. [email]

Bill Carty lives in Seattle and teaches at Edmonds CC. He shares a birthday and initials with our 42nd president, and his poetry has previously appeared in the New Orleans Review and Blue Mesa Review. [email]

Laura Didyk's work has been published most recently in Post Road, The Best of Fence: The First Nine Years, and Painted Bride Quarterly. Kristin Hayter is a fledging poet and sound artist/performer. She has survived the tutelage of nuns and the whims of runaway racehorses, possesses a slew of original Bela Bartok jokes awaiting a receptive audience, briefly spent a lot of time arranging nineteenth century prosthetic limbs into arresting visual displays, and read too much Kafka on the flight to Prague in January 2007. Joy Kettren lives in Ohio, where she works as a clinical trials coordinator for Case Western Reserve University, and has finally learned, after much negative reinforcement, to "watch where she is going." She has previously published in Shakespeare's Monkey Revue. [email]

Jon Liberzon is a sometime grad student, occasional Levantine archaeologist, freelance biologist, nature bum and all around novelty junky. He lives in Haifa, Israel, where he studies chromophoric dissolved organic matter, and it's interesting. He started writing back in high school after stealing a book of haikus off his dad's shelf. Michael Ogletree is the poetry editor for SUB-LIT & the author of This Is Not a Venn Diagram (Taiga Press). His poems have appeared in American Poetry Journal, BlazeVOX, Fourteen Hills, InDigest, & various other places. He is an MFA candidate at University of Oregon, where he teaches creative writing. He is terrified of horses.

Rachael Peckham’s work has appeared in journals such as Brevity, Gulf Coast, Sentence, Xavier Review, and many others. She won the Briar Cliff Review Nonfiction Contest in 2006 and was a finalist in Inkwell’s 2008 Poetry Contest. She currently teaches at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where she lives with her husband and son.

Patty Seyburn's third book of poems, Hilarity, was released from New Issues Press in 2009. She teaches at California State University, Long Beach. Her mother almost named her Nola, or Donna. She bowls. [email]
