PERMISSIBLE NATURES

Ori Fienberg

Just about everyone knows that a goldfish will grow to fill its home, but fewer know that they will die when their hearts mutate too large.

There are no seasons for a goldfish. Their cells are in a continuous state of harvest, but they keep everything they grow for themselves, and so no home can be too large. But we share time as easily as fallen leaves.

Our hearts give and receive over the course of each beat. This is why humans are of relatively stable size.
