Fig. 20. illustrates the passage of tune A radiation over good conducting but broken country and shows the semi-independence of the two parts of this radiation. The earth line EE may be taken to represent two cliff faces separated by a water channel. We shall follow the progress of the double waves and note their effect on a receiving aerial as the distance travelled by the waves increases.
