GRAPH SHOWING AVERAGE GALVANOMETER DEFLECTIONS FOR GARRETT VS. NON-GARRETT ENTITIES

The solid line represents Garrett, the dotted line non-Garrett entities. The two graphs really constitute one continuous chart, running from 1-100.

RESULTS OF INITIAL EXPERIMENTS

The Standard 100-word list was given on a number of occasions to Mrs. Garrett (in the normal state) and to her regular control, "Uvani." These lists of galvanometer and time reactions lent themselves to statistical comparison. Special word-lists were also employed. Regular and special lists were also read to other "control-entities" (who claimed "direct control") and these also were compared with the former results. It is interesting to note that quite extraordinary differences were found to exist between all the various entities. Not only did Mrs. Garrett and "Uvani" differ from one another, but the various control-entities were found to differ radically from both of them! We seemed to be dealing with a number of entirely separate and distinct personalities!
